Font family san francisco css1/25/2024 In this one, I've set the headings to also use New York. Font family names containing whitespace should be quoted. For example, 'Times' and 'Helvetica' are font families. I've also added a style block in the head, where I can insert custom CSS within the post front-matter. font-family: 'Gill Sans Extrabold', sans-serif Values The name of a font family.Using New York is basically the same: font-family : -apple-system-ui-serif, ui-serif, 'Georgia', serif If you want to default to system font on multiple platforms, though, I'd suggest: font-family: -apple-system, system-ui, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, Ubuntu -apple-system San Francisco in Safari (on Mac OS X and iOS) Neue Helvetica and Lucida Grande on older versions of Mac OS X. Using San Francisco requires a bit of a hacky method to use it on the web: font-family : -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif Recently(ish) Apple introduced a serif sister font to San Francisco, New York, which I also like. And earlier this year, we're bringing a new set of CSS font family names, like ui-rounded, ui-serif and ui-monospace to Apple. Now the -apple prefixed version has a standard name: system-ui. I've been using system fonts for a while, as I really like Apple's San-Francisco font and I like the fact thats its nice a quick as no files to download (sorry if your are on Windows). A few years ago, WebKit introduced the -apple-system font family so that you can use it to use San Francisco font in CSS. I wanted to keep things speedy, but wanted to mix up the fonts a bit.
